The Canterville Ghost, this book intrigued me, the fact that Mr.Otis completely dismissed all the warnings he was getting from neighbors and people that have lived in Canterville for their whole lives. this made me wonder whether or not Mr.Otis believed in ghosts or if he had a bad experience with one, and he was denying the truth.
And for the blood stain that kept coming back, that creeped me out a little bit, and also that was a bad move from my perspective, if a sploch of blood was on my carpet I would try to wash it off, but if it comes back the next day.. I would know that something fishy is going on, but Mr.Otis just dismissed this too, which ,obviously I though was a little bit stupid.
All in all, an interesting way to start the book, it interested me from the start.
That's an interesting thought. Why is Mr. Otis so dogmatic about denying the existence of the supernatural? Do you think that the bloodstain is reappearing supernaturally or in a more explainable manner?
